• New Game Mechanic: ELITE Upgrades
• This patch introduces a new feature which is available to all heroes and on all difficulties. Each hero has access to a powerful and new unique Mastery-like passive which is learned automatically upon reaching a combined damage and tank score of 25,000. You don’t need to click it or spend a Mastery point. The only requirement is that you have unlocked and learned your ultimate Mastery. ELITE upgrades will provide you with additional late game goals, make you feel really powerful when you unlock them, improve overall hero balance, and shorten lengthy game sessions. Due to technical limitations of the Arcade the effects of all ELITE upgrades can’t be included in these patch notes.
• Nemesis:
• Episode progression is now independent of group size. For example, if you completed Episode 1 in a four-player game and your friend Bobby completed Episode 1 solo, you can now team up with Bobby to try Episode 2 in duo (and all other group sizes). After you beat Episode 2 with Bobby in a two-player game, your progress will be 0/2/0/1 and Bobby’s progress will show 1/2/0/0.
• Reduced the number of units spawned in duos (solo, 3 player, and 4 player unchanged).
• Episode 7 has been tweaked again including Hybrid General no longer teleporting heroes to his position when his shields get depleted.
• Dune:
• New Mastery: Exterminatus (replaces Path of the Warrior Mastery). It’s a Doomsday party and all your friends are invited.
• Several of Dunes minions will now partially or fully ignore enemy armor.
• Fury:
• New Mastery: Black Metal Academy (replaces Big Game Hunter Mastery). Metalstorm makes you invisibru.
• Overdrive no longer costs energy.
• Iron Legion respawn timer reduced to 20 seconds (old: 25 seconds).
• Incoming! Talent range bonus increased to +5 (old: +3).
• Pyro:
• New Mastery: Perpetua Ignis (replaces Allrounder Mastery). Basically Interwoven Reality Mastery but with more fire.
• Firestarter base energy cost reduced by 5.
• Eternal Flames functions slightly different now. The most important things for players are that applying Eternal Flames by any means refreshes the whole stack and it ticks every second (old: .9).
• Scorched Earth Mastery no longer causes Heatwave on impact and instead doubles the effects and duration of Riders of the Apocalypse.
• Swann:
• Base movement speed increased by .2.
• Guerillia Protocol Mastery no longer increases movement speed.
• Tassadar:
• Starting and per hero level shield maximum increased.
• Force Field base cast range increased and base energy cost reduced.
• Thunderstorm: delay between individual storms reduced and the base number of storms is increased by 2.
• Power Overwhelming Mastery no longer removes unit collission but its bonuses to movement speed, overload, and shield regen are increased.
• Lightweight Equipment Mastery no longer grants Force Field cast range and the energy cost reduce to Empower has been slightly increased.
• Overcapping Stargate Mastery stacks will make the remaining stacks count towards the next pile.
• Tempests (from Stargate Mastery) damage penalty vs highly armored enemies removed (old 200%).
• Miscellaneous:
• Mercenary Perk no longer improves sight radius nor nuke damage, but both bonus mineral gains have been increased to 10000 (old: 5000).
• Archaeology Perk grants stats worth of 5 levels per Artifact pickup (old: 3).
• Tweaked the experimental “anti units stuck in middle” trigger.
• Camera Hero Follow default hotkey has been cleared (old: D).
• World Event Roach Warrens’ special unit spawn chance has been normalised and its Spores and Spines should be easier to target.
• Mobile Command Post Mastery’s Elite Banshee should no longer be removed by some special events.
• Fixed a green portal on Episode 8.
