Crap Patrol 2 Leadership Perk

Season 1 & Prestige Mode – Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes Season 1 special?
A:
Season 1 is the first official CP2 season. All seasons up until now were primarily meant to test the system. Season 1 will have announced start and end dates and seasonal rewards. It also introduces a brand new game mode: Prestige. You can earn rewards by playing the new Prestige mode and existing modes like Inferno and Hellwalker. All leaderboards will be reset, but your rank and winrating carry over. All modes will get a new set of World Events. Normal, Insane, and Mental modes will not be available during Season 1.(edited)

Q: What is Prestige Mode?
A:
Prestige is a new game mode which changes the more you play it. Prestige mode features an infinite progression through Prestige levels which can be earned by winning matches. The higher you get in Prestige, the harder the game gets. Prestige introduces many new enemy types for you to overcome. The Hybrid General will open portals to throw new and old minions against you to halt your advance. Cpt Smoker is missing and all hope seems lost. However, the CP forces are stronger than ever: You will be able to select 4 Perks. Players can complete subobjectives on the map to gain extra boosts like bonus Talent points. There is a special Power Cube exclusively in Prestige mode which is extremely potent and allows you to melt bosses and Hives in seconds. In addition, the CP forces are fielding various golden elite troops to aid you in your onslaught. Let the carnage begin!

Q: What changes ingame with higher Prestige levels?
A:
With every single Prestige level most enemies become tougher and deadlier. More notable changes occur every 5-10 levels, where nice numbers like 75 or 100 are everything but nice and will mark the introduction of neck breaking new mechanics, events, and spawns. New bosses and traps start to activate and existing ambushes change. New enemy types and mini bosses are introduced over time. For example, most bosses gain additional abilities or spawns every 25 levels. Some bosses or mechanics might even disappear for a while or are only active during certain Prestige level brackets.

Q: When does Season 1 begin?
A:
We plan to release patch 12.0 and start Season 1 in September 2019. Once we have settled on an exact release date, we will announce it through the usual channels.

Q: When does Season 1 end?
A:
The exact end date hasn’t been determined, yet. Our current plan is to run Season 1 for roughly half a year. We will provide multiple weeks notice prior to setting the end date for rewards etc. Keep an eye out for announcements on Discord and in the patch notes.

Q: What are the rewards for Season 1 contestants?
A:
Top ranked runs will be awarded with permanent cosmetic rewards such as non-combat pets or spell effects. Rewards are not specific to Prestige mode and there will be rewards for Hellwalker, Oldschool, and Inferno players, too. We are also discussing adding special rewards for feats like “highest nuke record”, “best community written guide”, or “most season 1 replays uploaded”. A preview of all rewards and the exact reward structure will be published some time after Season 1 has begun.

Q: When will I get my rewards? How long can I use my rewards?A: Rewards will be handed out automatically after Season 1 has ended. You will likely be able to keep your rewards forever.

Q: Who is eligible for Season 1 rewards?
A:
Winners will be selected by analysing all uploaded Season 1 replays. All players in those replays will automatically receive rewards. The devs reserve themselves the right to exclude people from rewards manually in extreme cases (cheating, bank file manipulation, overly toxic behaviour, etc). Make sure to upload all your winning Season 1 replays to the online leaderboards at https://cp2.shortbit.de/

Q: I have an EU and an NA account. Do both accounts get rewards? Can I move rewards to a different account?
A:
No, this is not possible. Rewards will we awarded to the accounts used in the winning replays. However, if you manage to submit a winning replay on two different accounts, both accounts will receive a reward.

Q: If players in a group have different Prestige levels and choose “progress”, what is the Prestige level of the game?
A:
Selecting “progress” mode will set the game’s Prestige level to the highest level out of all the players plus one. If a three player group has Prestige levels 10, 12, and 15, the game will be set to 16.

Q: How do I get more Prestige?
A:
If your Prestige level is lower than that of the game you are playing, you will be awarded with at least 1 Prestige. You can receive additional levels by completing the map quickly or if your Prestige level is much lower than that of the game you are playing.

Q: Why is there no Cpt Smoker in Prestige mode?
A:
Cpt Smoker has mysteriously vanished and you will have to take on Prestige mode without him. For now…

Q: Are my previous runs deleted? How do I view older replays?
A:
None of your old runs are lost. You will also keep your winrating and rank. If you want to view previous runs, there is a dropdown on the website which allows you to select another Season.

Q: Why did you remove Normal mode?
A:
Hard mode is the new easy default mode for new players. You can also check out the early Prestige modes for a quick and easy game experience. Also stop being a sissy.

Q: Why did you remove Insane mode?
A:
We believe that there are enough rewards for not dying in all CP2 difficulties and Insane mode didn’t add any interesting mechanics so we deemed it obsolete. Special rewards for completing a run without dying might be added at a later date.

Q: Why did you remove Mental mode?
A:
Mental was the original competitive speed running mode. Hellwalker has taken its place as the official speed running mode. If you are looking to play a match with comparable difficulty, check out the early Prestige mode levels. You can select specific Prestige mode levels in the lobby once zou unlocked them.
