CP2 Patch Notes 12.5

    • Nova has been reworked and many of her Masteries, Talents, and abilities have been changed. The goal was to bolster her strengths, e.g. sniping big dudes from really far away, and reinforce the fantasy of being a stealthy assassin that helps her team overcoming boss fights. The changes are too numerous to list them all but here are some highlights:
    • Nova is baseline permanently invisible.
    • Three new Masteries have been added: Armageddon (mass nukes), Ricochet (bouncy snipe), and Executioner (new boss killer ultimate).
    • Hunter’s Mark is a regular ability unlocked via basic Talent.
    • Displace has a longer cooldown but is much stronger than before.
    • Combat Drones are more responsive and can attack air units.
    • Several existing Masteries and Talents have been tweaked or gained new effects.

      We have some quality of life changes, balance adjustments, and fixes as well. Most of these are community requests:

    • New Talent for Swann.
    • Guidance Perk now applies to the lowest scoring player without restrictions. Should the lowest scoring player already be at full stacks, the 2nd lowest scoring player will be targeted and so forth. This is a buff in some situations and a nerf in others. The main reason for this change is that it is clearer and more intuitive how the Perk behaves.
    • Toxic Waste Perk Nuke bonus damage reduced to 250 (old: 335) and base aura damage reduced to 20 (old: 25).
    • Widow Mines, Minefield, and all Support Drop Talents now benefit from Leadership Perk.
    • Iron Legion base auto-attack damage increased.
    • Jötunnbane Corps life, armor, and life regen doubled.
    • Jötunnbane Corps no longer block pathing while sieged up.
    • Battlecry base energy cost increased to 50 (old: 40).
    • Obelisk Mastery Overload damage increase reduced to 20 (old: 80).
    • Reduced the permanent damage and attack speed bonus of Enslave by 30%.
    • Final Boss waves will spawn fewer but more dangerous enemies. This should be most noticable between Prestige 100 and 200.
    • Prestige player death punishment is now slightly more serious at 100+.
    • If your game takes long or you have many deaths you will encounter many more regular portals before the locations loop around and stuff starts spawning in your base. Nobody likes being backdoored.
    • Improved Blue Portal spawning mechanics to reduce stuckerino and prevent several exploits.
    • Banelings deal more damage in the late game. This affects all difficulties and group sizes.
    • Burrow Charging Ultralisks should be blocked reliably by Tassadar’s Force Fields.
    • Reduced the aggro range for Dune’s melee weapon slightly. This should help with controlling the hero while surrounded by small units.
    • Enslaved Ultralisks can no longer use Burrow Charge.
    •  Brimstones and Apocalypse Swarm Host collision reworked.
    • Fixed Tenacity Perk triggering Mastery retaliation in Prestige mode. This was not intended.
    • Fixed Omegalisk World Event boss being one-shot on higher prestige levels.
    • Fixed Battlecry not targeting yourself when casting while in the air (probably).
    • Fixed CP unit collision from recent blizz patch f*ckery.
    • You can now see the event number of Blue Portals again, but it is hidden and I won’t tell you where. You will figure it out.
