- I had grand plans for past and future game modes plus Season 3, but unfortunately my IRL had other plans. Sorry about that. Anyway:
- New & Old Game Modes:
- Nemesis is back! You can play it the same as in Season 2. Your old progress carries over to Intermission 2. I’ve made a few adjustments, mostly to make it less laggy. The current plan is to tweak existing episodes a little bit more and eventually add new episodes.
- Prestige is not back :/ I am currently reworking Prestige from the ground up and plan to add it as a permanent game mode at some point.
- Existing game modes have not been forgotten. This patch already tweaks some things in Oldschool and Hellwalker. Insane mode back anyone?
- At this point I would also like to confirm a rumor that I will indeed attempt to make CP3 in Stormgate once that is possible and feasible.
- Balancing and Gameplay:
- Compartmentalization Perk causes Lightweight Equipment Mastery to cost 3 times as many minerals to research.
- Weaponsmith Perk deducts 2 minerals per second from you for the rest of the match.
- Archaeology Perk allows you to gain level-up stats way past the ordinary maximum.
- Helldivers will teleport to your hero’s position when using any teleportation-like ability such as Recall or Blink.
- Spine Crawlers deal more damage in Hellwalker and less damage in Oldschool mode.
- Pets no longer grant vision.
- Dark Energies Talent’s (all heroes) negative shield regen increased to -4 (old: -2).
- Surprise Party waves, Hybrid General retaliation spawns, various Mutalisk waves, and a few other unit spamming mechanics create less units overall to reduce lag (affects all modes but should be most notable in Nemesis).
- Battlecruisers have new firing patterns and attack-visuals depending on their type.
- Numerous bug fixes to Perks, Masteries, and game mechanics.
- Anvil:
- Anvil shows his status bar while transitioning between modes.
- Aquila:
- Blades of Aiur energy cost reduced to 60 (old: 75).
- Void Tear base cooldown increased to 31 (old: 30).
- Fury:
- Widow Mines from Minefield are no longer selectable. This is mainly to prevent missclicks.
- Dune:
- Dune attacks the closest target instead of figuring out his way to a spine while stuck between enemies.
- Dune no longer mysteriously teleports back to where he died. It’s fixed now for reals (I think).
- Pyro:
- Grand Slam Mastery no longer shows up on allies.
- Swann:
- Hellfire Missile Battery base attack-speed reduced by 9% and minimum range increased to 8 (old: 7).
- Tassadar:
- Force Field generates a charge every 1.33 seconds (up from 1.0 seconds).
- Tychus:
- Flaming Betty is one of the 5 guaranteed starting Talents.
- Haywire Missile Mastery’s special Tychus internal cooldown bonus increased to 7 seconds resulting in a net cooldown of 3 seconds (old: 5).
